This is a joint initiative of two foundations: AED Project and Senior-Care. Bearing in mind that the risk of sudden cardiac arrest among residents of long-term care facilities is becoming increasingly high – an educational and training project has been developed and implemented. It’s addressed to the management and staff of nursing homes. The project allows participants to gain the necessary competencies to use an AED defibrillator anytime, anywhere. The availability of a defibrillator significantly improves the safety of the residents by providing first aid in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. The project is nationwide and is supported by the Polish Chamber of Nursing Homes KIDO.
