Research and grants

The National Chamber of Nursing Homes KIDO actively participates and cooperates in scientific and research projects that are carried out both by universities as well as research centers and non-governmental organizations. A broad spectrum of research work and grants focuses on the holistic approach to senior care, with an emphasis on the area of long-term care in its broadest sense. The Chamber, supported by the active participation of its members, makes every effort to ensure that the implemented research and projects are characterized by unique and innovative aspects and their implementation has a direct impact on improving the welfare of the residents of care facilities.

The implemented projects cover the areas of medicine, psychology, social sciences, as well as those of economic nature and related to the broadly understood IT industry. Among many implemented projects, the cooperation with the Institute of Psychology of the University of Wrocław in the framework of the Understanding Seniors project and with the Department of Microbiology of Collegium Medium of the Jagiellonian University in the scope of the research project concerning the response of Clostridioides dificille infections in long-term care and dementia disease diagnostics, as part of the cooperation with the Alzheimer’s Centre in Ścinawa, should be singled out.

We invite universities, institutions and organizations interested in cooperation in this area to contact directly the secretariat of the National Chamber of Nursing Homes KIDO : izba@kido.org.pl, phone + 49 608 545 545
